What a Week

It's Saturday night and we are off. We deserve this one. We played four gigs in 3 days this week, and I will admit we are exhausted. Thursday was the day that would never end. We set our gear up at the GV WWC at noon and then drove to Columbia for our first show at 6-9. We had a great time and want to thank everyone for coming out to Forest Acres. It was awesome. We then drove back to GV and played from 11-2. We truly appreciate everyone partying with us on Thursday night.

Friday we drove what took us 8hrs to Valdosta. The show went well and was a great end to a short but productive week.

Peace,
Brent

Oh yeah!! The album will be released soon.

Things Are Looking Up

The show last night in Addison was great. The sound guy Dirk had us as loud as Texans like it and the crowd was into it from the first licks of Jump. After the rest over the weekend and the energetic show, Texas is looking a little brighter so far this week.

Texas..So Far So.....You Decide

The trip so far has been eye opening. The crowds have been responding really well. At first, there is a lot of oohing and ahhing as they try to decide what is going on. According to the GM's at these places, we are the first band to have anybody leave the stage. But by the end of the night, everyone is up dancing and partying with us. So all is well there.

Everything is bigger in Texas? Maybe not bigger, but definitely louder. They have us playing at levels that in my opinion are too loud. At the bar you can't hear to give an order. If that's the way they want it, we'll provide it, but man I'm glad I use in-ear monitors.

Now Friday night we experienced a first in our long career as a musicians. Our vehicle got broken into, and we were robbed. We lost all the cash from the weeks gigs(thank goodness we had not been paid for the night yet, or we would have been in more trouble) , my wallet, credit cards, license, social security card, laptops, video camera, digital camera, bass, guitar, jewelry, Anar lost his wallet, license, credit cards, a guitar, his backpack, Aaron lost a GPS and a XM radio. So while Friday night's gig was our best, it's excitement got leveled by the break-in.

Now what does bother me is the way the police treated us. OK , we are from Atlanta. We live in Athens now, but the majority of my live I lived in Atlanta. Members of this band have played all over the world, and none of us have ever had our vehicle broken into at a gig. The Police were like, you know this is Houston.. I was like yeah I'm from Atlanta, what's your point. Anar came from LA and his car never gotten broken into ever. They treated us like we were some simple country folk traveling into the big city. Whatever. We found out from the Police that the parking lot has 3-4 break-ins every weekend. The lot should have some sort of security.

Saturday night the weather sucked, and we had PA issues. But despite these issues, the crowd response was great.

We are presently in Dallas trying to recover from the drama and rest up for this weeks gigs.

Peace,
Brent
